Hats in the Ring: Choosing Britains Chief Rabbis from Adler to Sacks

  10/02/2012       morfiys777      0 Comments

Prior to the latest Chief Rabbinical selection process, seven eminent rabbis were appointed to British Jewrys highest ecclesiastical post, although only six were installed and saw out their terms of office. The manner of their appointment was invariably coloured by intrigue, in-fighting and a host of other influences, not least an increasingly potent input by the dayanim of the London Beth Din, themselves not immune to strategic self-interest. Meir Persoffs scholarly yet accessible account of these seven appointments draws on a wealth of hitherto unaccessed and unpublished material, and on the stories of many of the protagonists involved, including in fascinating detail those who, by fair means and foul, failed to gain (or chose to reject) the coveted prize.

Beyond Poverty Line: Book

If King Solomon could be so wealthy and still remains the wealthiest man that ever lived even when he lived in an age of less than 200,000,000 people, no cars, no mobile phones, no television and radio, no air planes, no internet and no technology, then there is something we missed at some point, and its in my book - Beyond Poverty Line. King Solomon exceled and became very wealthy because he had a rich baby which he fed and exercised with all of his might, and it was inevitable for great wealth to show up. Within the pages of this book, I will be teaching and showing you how to conceive and deliver your rich baby, and how to feed and exercise it that it will be impossible for wealth not to show up. This is the missing part of financial prosperity that has eluded many other financial authors and readers of financial publications. This book is the foundation on which wealth is built. Build a solid foundation through the pages of this book and watch your wealth grow from inside out.

The Making of Hitchcocks the Birds

Published to coincide with the films 50th anniversary in 2013, the first book-length treatment on the production of this modernist masterpiece Featuring new interviews with stars Rod Taylor, Tippi Hedren, and Veronica Cartwright, as well as sketches and storyboards from Hitchcocks A-list technical team, Robert Boyle, Albert Whitlock, and Harold Michelson, the book charts every aspect of the films production all set against the tumultuous backdrop of the 1962 Cuban missile crisis and JFKs presidency. Using unpublished material from the Alfred Hitchcock Collection, Evan Hunters files, Peggy Robertsons papers, and Robert Boyles artwork, this is the ultimate guide to Hitchcocks most ambitious film. This book analyzes the films modernist underpinnings, from art director Robert Boyles initial sketches influenced by Munchs The Scream, to the groundbreaking electronic score by pioneering German composers Remi Gassmann and Oskar Sala. There is also a time line detailing the films production to its release at MOMA in New York, and the 1963 Cannes Film Festival.

Book number 5 in the hilariously disgusting freaky series. Kids are hanging out for each title in this very clever, hilariously funny series. It’s grosser, weirder, funnier, and even smellier than the books that came before it. Take another brilliantly twisted adventure with Sam, Jared, and little miss dung daks smelly melly poop pants as they head off on holiday to the most dangerous place on the planet. But, is it really a holiday or a final resting place to get rid of annoying kids? With the poisonous puke plants, ferocious farting animals, tree swinging hippies, and Smelly Melly’s deadliest fungus growing, chunky chuck-up nappies yet. This time, adventure is snapping at their heels, and they just might not be able to keep their stomachs contents down.
